Enjoyed Pitman Grove’s day
Concerning Dick Runner’s June 19 letter, “Much to celebrate at Pitman Grove fest,” I, too, enjoyed the First Annual Grove Festival.
Compliments to the Friends of the Grove for such an event on June 2. I’m hoping it will continue and hope to see it grow.
I was not previously aware that the hymn “In the Garden” was written 100 years ago by Charles Austin Miles, who was a resident of the Grove. I had never been to the Pitman Grove Tabernacle, even living in Pitman for 13 years.
I loved the day. How quaint and sweet our little town of Pitman is. I’m so very proud and grateful to live here.
