The Greater Pitman Chamber of Commerce is kicking off their annual membership drive and would like to extend an invitation for membership.

The annual Pitman Craft Shows provide the working budget for the Chamber each year. These monies are mainly used to promote member Businesses during the year through advertising and local community/fund raising events, but also provides the activities, happenings and decorations throughout the Holiday Season.

The Chamber meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7pm at The Pitman Manor (unless otherwise advised) and provides a forum to discuss monthly and annual events organized through committees such as Economic Development (EDC), Christmas, and Promotions. Monthly Guest Speakers also provide information on local services and highlight pertinent information relevant to current business trends.

Goals set forth by current president, John Fitzpatrick (Premiere Accounting), include: revitalize Pitman through the Economic Development Committee; build on the success of the Fourth Friday events and continue to generate an exciting atmosphere in Pitman. The Chamber has also started a small business group that meets monthly and discusses issues relevant to town businesses.

Other advantages and benefits made available to an active Chamber member include:

• Discounted rates for members in group advertising
• Member listings on Chamber ads
• Business listing on Chamber website (www.pitmanchamber.org) and link to your business website
• Discounted spaces for craft show exhibits

Cost of annual membership is $100/year. (But, new members pay only $50 for the first year). Thank you in advance for your participation and support this year, and we look forward to having the opportunity to serve you.
