When all the tallies were counted, 106 car owners brought their prized possessions to the 9th Annual Pitman Manor Classic Car Show and Picnic. “When we held the first show eight years ago we had 15 cars attend. This year we had nearly eight times as many and of course Mother Nature cooperated by giving us an absolutely perfect day,” said Pam Mezis, Pitman Manor’s Marketing Director. The car show is a combined resident activity and community relations event. Approximately 200 members of the community, Pitman Manor residents, family members and friends enjoyed the sunshine along with a wide variety of classic and antique cars. The Clayton Volunteer Fire Company supplied hoagies and Pitman’s own George’s Auto Body was the corporate sponsor. Employees from the local Target volunteered time and energy to man the food table, while other volunteers sold baked goods donated by staff and volunteers.
