Shop like your Main Street depends on it because it does!

Beginning on Sunday, September 13 running through Saturday, September 19th, Uptown Pitman is hosting their first ever “Tenzy Frenzy” to celebrate their small businesses, many run by families or individuals, but ALL contributing massively to the economy of Pitman and the wellbeing of the community.

This is a celebration of small businesses and shops and is the latest campaign by the Pitman Economic Development Committee to boost local trade. Each business will offer a deal or a sale for either $10, 10% off, or a $10 discount.

Every individual can make a huge impact direct to their local economy by just spending $10 per week in their local independent shops or restaurants. If every household in Pitman spent just $10 per week in their local independent shops and businesses, instead of online or at the big box stores, it would mean an extra $1.8 MILLION PER YEAR GOING INTO OUR LOCAL ECONOMY. This means more jobs, a better downtown, a stronger economy and a nicer place to live.

EDC Chairwoman, Shari Hulitt says “We are excited to organize and drive this campaign to encourage our community to rediscover what in offered in Uptown Pitman. We have amazing independent shops, cafés, and services all unique and special and they are vital to making Pitman such a vibrant place to shop, eat and work. We know the “Tenzy Frenzy” isn’t going to change the world, but small changes in our weekly spending can really make a difference. Just by diverting $10 of our weekly spend helps give our small businesses a fighting chance to thrive. It’s a conversation worth having.”

Participants include A Touch of Ireland, Alaura Kitchen and Candy, Alfred Stephens Salon, Brio Beauty Studio and Skincare Clinic, Broadway Bakery, Coco’s Cocina Tex-Mex Restaurant, Gloucester County Habitat, Float Haven, Image is Everything Studios, Maggie Paige, Mama Marie’s, Personal Touch Group Fitness, Press 10, Restored Antiquity, Scarecrow Factory Country Store, Sweet Lula’s Restaurant, The Gentle Giant, and The Inn on Holly. All will be displaying a special poster to show they are taking part by offering something fabulous during the Tenzy Frenzy.
