Borough of Pitman

Pitman is governed by an elected Mayor and Council. The Mayor is elected at-large for a four-year term and Council is at-large, three-year terms. All are volunteer positions.

Pitman Fire Department – Fire Company #1

Founded in July 1901. To provide Fire, EMS, and HAZMAT protection for the residence of Pitman, Gloucester Coutny and the surrounding Counties by being an aggressive department. To be 100%, 100% of the time.

Pitman Public Works Department

Our mission is to provide the highest level of service to the residents of Pitman while maintaining the community’s infrastructure in the most cost-effective manner possible. We provide essential services in the areas of drinking water, sanitary and storm sewer maintenance, trash, recycling and yard waste collection, streets, buildings, grounds and vehicle maintenance. We continually strive to improve our services by incorporating new technology, employee involvement, improved customer service and new ideas to effectively maintain our service oriented department.

Pitman Senior Outreach Committee

This a Committee of Council-Appointed Volunteers who work to bring new resources to the Senior Citizens of Pitman and information regarding existing resources to those Senior Citizens and their families/caregivers.
