Cyclists Attack!
will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday on Broadway in downtown Pitman.
The event is being presented by the Caffeinated Cyclist and sponsored by the Greater Pitman Chamber of Commerce.
“It may be pretty challenging,” said race organizer and shop owner Steve Blackman. “These are substantial hills for South Jersey.”
Cyclists will follow a route similar to the borough’s annual Fourth of July Freedom Run, with the exception of crossing the railroad tracks.
The race will take participants and their bikes down Broadway, up the hill at Lambs Road, down Holly Avenue toward Alycon Lake, up the hill at Cedar Avenue and down the hill at Laurel Avenue, where the road meets back up with Broadway.
