The long-standing consignment favorite, My Fair Lady, is now joined by two other fabulous consignment stores: Treasures On Broadway and Juliette’s Jewels, all of which are located on Pitman’s main thoroughfare — Broadway.

The street is rich with possibilities for not only finding great consignment deals, but if you are looking to move along some of your own treasures, you could become a consignor. Or in the case of Juliette’s Jewels, sell your clothing to her for resale. (Her store isn’t a true consignment store. You get paid up front if she takes your goodies; you don’t have to wait until your piece sells before you get paid.)

I personally had a ball when I visited Treasures On Broadway not long ago. My son was taking acting lessons at the Broadway Actors Studio which is next door to Treasures On Broadway, and so I had an hour to kill. I walked into the store and was greeted by a friendly staff and an amazing collection of clothing. I ended up purchasing a few items still with tags, one of which was a gorgeous Ellen Tracy dress. The original tag said $449; I paid a fraction of that.

A friend sells and shops religiously at Juliette’s Jewels. She loves the ease of selling directly and not having to wait and see if her items sell. If you go down Broadway, you cannot help but notice the store’s fabulous window displays. The staff certainly has an eye for color.

My Fair Lady has been a consignment fan favorite for years. The store has changed ownership over time, but the finds are still there. To this day, I wear a pair of red stilettos I bought at My Fair Lady years ago. I often wear them when I am on television, dishing on who wore what on the red carpet.

If you are a consignment addict like me, then you probably are also aware of Kidstuff in Pitman, which is a children’s consignment store on West Jersey Avenue. I don’t get there as often as I go to Repeat Boutique (an upscale children’s consignment store in Mullica Hill) but I know many people who do. This time of year when you need snow pants, boots and other gear for your kids, there is no better place to go than to a consignment store where you can really stretch your budget.  

Now all we need is a handbag consignment store, which is my personal dream. Any takers?!
