Pitman police to hold ‘Coffee With a Cop’ event at Venice Italian Eatery

Borough police will hold their first “Coffee With a Cop” event on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at Venice Italian Eatery, 68 South Broadway.

The event is an informal gathering, Police Chief Robert Zimmerman said, in which residents can meet and speak with officers.

Participating Thursday are Zimmerman, Capt. McAteer, Sgt. Owens, Sgt. Moore, Community Policing Officer Christine Osinski and other officers.

“This is a great way that we can strengthen the police-community partnership and build our friendships throughout the community,” Zimmerman said of Coffee With a Cop.

“On behalf of the Pitman Police Department, I want to thank Mr. Ron Zold of Venice Italian Eatery for hosting this program at his restaurant,” the chief added.

“Coffee, bagels, muffins and a place for good conversation, compliments of Venice. We certainly appreciate his kindness and generosity.”
